Best Paper Award
1. Aim of the Award

Since its foundation in 2012, ICBEB has developed rapidly along with an annual increase of submissions and continuous improvement of manuscript quality. To attract more scholars to deliver the latest research findings and encourage more presentations and exchanges at the conference, the Best Paper Award is set up for excellent contributors.

This Award is energetically supported by the journal Physiological Measurement (PMEA) published by IOP Publishing under the Institute for Physics and Engineering in Medicine (IPEM). Winners of the top 3 papers will receive certificates issued by PEMA as well as a bonus of £ 250 each.

2. Brief Introduction of PMEA

Physiological Measurement (PMEA) publishes papers about the quantitative assessment and visualization of physiological function in clinical research and practice, with an emphasis on the development of new methods of measurement and their validation, with the 2016 Impact Factor of 2.058.

PMEA is one of the journals from IOP Publishing, providing publications through which leading-edge scientific research is distributed worldwide. IOP Publishing is central to the Institute of Physics (IOP) of UK, a leading scientific membership society working to advance physics for the benefit of all.

PMEA encourages publication of data and code as well as results. Papers are published on topics including:
• applied physiology in illness and health
• electrical bioimpedance, optical and acoustic measurement techniques
• advanced methods of time series and other data analysis
• biomedical and clinical engineering
• in-patient and ambulatory monitoring
• point-of-care technologies
• novel clinical measurements of cardiovascular, neurological, and musculoskeletal systems
• novel clinical measurement of flows and pressures in lung, heart and blood vessels
• measurements in molecular and cellular and organ physiology and electrophysiology
• physiological modeling and simulation
• novel biomedical sensors, instruments, devices and systems
• measurement standards and guidelines.

3. How to Participate?

A. Authors are required to submit original and unpublished full papers through online submission system of the conference. Please mark "Participate in the Best Paper Selection" in the note box during submission

B. Submission deadline: August 20, 2018

4. The Selection Process

The selection of winners will undergo a 3-step process.

A. Peer review by Technical Program Committee (TPC)

B. Based on peer review comments, Organizing Committee selects the top 15 papers with Straight-A in novelty, structure, significance and language etc.

C. Award Committee selects and ranks the best 3 papers from the top 15.

5. About the Awards

Authors of the selected 15 Straight-A papers will be notified by email before October 1, 2018. It is necessary for the representative of each paper to attend the conference. The top 3 will be released at closing ceremony, with the awards as follows:
