Speech Title: Metasense: Wearable Photoplethysmographic Biomarker Platform for Cardiometabolic Disease Surrogate Identification and Clinical Licensing

Abstract: The speaker would like to share his team’s recent translational work that pioneering an important area of medical and biological engineering.
His NTU-SingHealth team technology in photoplethysmorphology (PPG) for cardiometabolic artificial intelligence is a cuffless, calibration-free, consumable-free approach for blood pressure and glucose estimation; applicable to peri-operative & critical care; home & ambulatory monitoring; chronic-disease management & currently undergoing with a clinical research & rigorous trials with decentralised data capture. Our patent (https://patentscope2.wipo.int/search/en/WO2024205510) is with 5 national entries to USA, China, Japan, EU and S’pore, while the 2nd related TD on multiwavelength dual-point photoplethysmorphometry (MW-2PPM) cardiometabolic monitoring method was filed on early 2026. Our invention is entering for commercialisation with a spin-off, and we are attracting ~ SGD1m for regulatory pathway in HAS of Singapore and FDA thereafter.
